Reliable & Affordable Taxi Transfers to Seville, Spain (Hotels / Train Station / Airport)
Seville is the capital of the Autonomous Community of Andalusia, in the south of Spain – with close to 700 thousand inhabitants – it is the fourth largest Spanish city. In this city were born the artists Velásquez and Murillo and its cathedral is one of the most impressive in the world. The city is a mixture of people who inhabited it with a notorious presence of Arabs, in architectural elements spread on every street.
The center of Seville is a crossroads of narrow streets, traditional trade, with monuments to visit, among which stands out the cathedral and what is around it. Because this is a city with many sunny days, the shopping streets are covered so that the sun does not affect directly but at the same time you have access to clarity.
Regarding climate in Seville: Attention to the heat! The climate is Mediterranean and the average annual temperature is 18º, which makes it a hot city all year round and especially in the summer … it is not the best time to visit, since temperatures are well above 40º.
When to visit? Holy Week is the time chosen by many to visit Seville, but it is also the one that fills more hotels (which are more expensive) and everything has more queues to visit, etc. But Holy Week is indeed, and especially for devotees, something impressive. There are almost 60 brotherhoods that parade in the streets, leaving their temples, in procession, to the Sevillian Cathedral.
If you visit it during Holy Week, please know that the Basilica de la Macarena is the church where the most venerated image in all of Andalusia is: the Virgen de la Esperanza, with a 12th century sculpture.
